History

Our club is a volunteer, non-profit organization, and was formed in the fall of 1974 by Judy Troup. We offer a full range of programs, whether you’re looking for recreational skating, or to go beyond to the test/competitive stream. We are one of the 14 clubs that make up the Niagara Skating Council. We are also part of Skate Canada (formally CFSA), one of the world’s largest skating associations, with almost 1500 clubs nationwide.

All of our programs are taught by Professional Coaches, certified through the National Coaching Certification Program and Skate Canada. They are assisted on the ice by senior skaters who volunteer to serve as amateur coaches after completing their own coaching seminars.

A board of volunteer directors, elected at the annual meeting, administers the club business.
